Pretty picture: Zantedeschia x 'Picasso'

Apologies in advance for whining (but isn't the calla lily in the picture pretty?), but I had a cold in early March, and as of about last Friday or Saturday, I have another one. Sore throat, runny nose, stuffy nose, fever, aches, etc. As I write this (Tuesday afternoon), I'm feeling like . . . like . . . well -- I feel bad (facility with simile is one of the first things to go, when I'm sick).

Anyway. So somewhere in the snot-dripping, fever-induced haze that was March, we had calla lilies. And one of them looked like this:

It was pretty. But then it sold. And now I'm going to take a nap.

You were feeling like an aglaonema left outdoors overnight in 20 degree weather? (Lame, I know, but the best I could do on my first mug of coffee...)

Yikes! You must be exposed to some toxic shoppers at the greenhouse!

Hm, I hope you feel better... I'm just getting over my little doozie of a snot-fest. But, for me, the ease with which similes, metaphors, and analogies come to me is heightened when my brain is baking from fever and tossed about by my grenade-launching sneeze cannon. Luckily, I am still a tad sick, so I feel creative, but in a few days I'll be back to my bland ol' self, and hopefully you'll pick up your simile facility!
