Random plant event: Episcia NOID flower

This is a bigger deal than it appears. I've had this plant for almost a year now (since last October), and had never seen it with flowers until last week.

It's not the biggest accomplishment of my life or anything, but it does feel like an accomplishment all the same.

Episcias flower better if you keep snapping off the runners they develop at leaf nodes.

Love the shiny leaves and contrast with the bright flower.

If they are going to flower, it will be in August. Mine always bloomed in August. That is an interesting tip about snapping off the runners. If I had one now, I would try it ... but I don't because it is too dry in Phoenix for Episcias to be happy.
