The seed packets and the books say its an annual, yet the same plants (the white, strongly scented ones) have come back to life for me for 4 years running now (and I don't even have a garden, just a balcony). Has to be the best value plant ever - 1000 (tiny) seeds in a packet, and they regrow every year!
