If you can grow tropicals, most likely you'd be successful with multifloral paphs, especially hybrids. I provide mine with warmth and bright light and had St.Swithin and PEoY bloomed on the window with 40% (and less during winter) RH. You should give it a try, even though you hate orchids, paphs deserve exception. I think St.Swithin might be the easiest to try.

Nice orchid... I do like the things... when I see blooms like this, it makes me wish I had conditions to grow them.
