Pretty picture: Miltassia Charles M. Fitch x Odontocidium Black Beauty
The tag just said "C. M. Fitch," but the internet says the C is for Charles.
I'm not sure why, exactly, but I kind of like this even though it's plainer than the orchids I normally go for. Perhaps it's just that the color is unusual.
I have this same orchid and didn't know the ID, so thanks for that! I love these flowers because the color changes so dramatically. During the day, when the light is coming from behind, they look red and burgundy like in your photo. But at night, when lit from in front, they're practically black. Stunners!

ReplyDeleteSomething draws me to this one, but I have no idea what. It's not terribly vibrant but I still really like it.
