No tag at all, but that's okay, since it's just a
Phalaenopsis. I mean, I know
Phalaenopsis cultivars have names too, but it's so rare to find one that's identified that I've more or less stopped expecting IDs.
As for the flower itself: I kind of like these varieties with the big dots, even if
Phalaenopsis don't do much for me in general. Has anybody ever seen this in a color combination
besides white and purple?
I've seen yellow with purple splotches, it's not nearly as pretty.
ReplyDeleteI have seen the yellow variety. I think the name was Phal. Tristar Peoker. They call them harlequin type.
ReplyDeleteOne bolt short of a toolbox:
ReplyDeleteYou're a little out of my wheelhouse with that one; I pretty much only do indoor tropical plants.
Pretty. Almost looks like tie-dye.
ReplyDeleteI've seen other colors but without the dot combo.
ReplyDeleteOne bolt short of a toolbox, Vinca minor, the lesser Periwinkle should survive in any shaded area and is lovely. It would be necessary to know where you are to give further advice.
ReplyDeleteOooo, I love that! I have one that is similar but yellow with spots. I just wish I could get the darn thing to bloom!
ReplyDeleteAmy
I find this flower photo stunning and I'm color-blind!
ReplyDeleteOh, one of those harlequin patterned Phalaenopsis. This one looks similar to Phal. Yu Pin Pearl, though I don't think it belongs to that grex.
ReplyDeleteI think that's Phalaenopsis that was named after Elton John.
