This is probably no big deal to the real Saintpaulia cultists out there, but it was the first time I'd noticed a flower like this, with two (?) rows of pink petals around the outside of the flower and then one set of small yellow ones at the center. It's kind of especially noteworthy because yellow is not supposed to be an easy color to get. Doesn't make me want to buy it, particularly, but it did get my attention.

Very pretty flower esp. for this time of year.

Always Growing
I've never been terribly impressed with the yellow colour in Saintpaulias, however, this one is nice. I like the colour contrast. I'd buy it (depending on the price, of course).
Just an FYI; the yellow petaloids are mutated -- um -- blast. My English is not so good today (or would that be Latin?). The pollen pods. (sigh) Hybridizers are currently attempting to tease the color out into the petals; they're getting there, but slowly.

Do you mean the anthers? That's really neat, because I had no idea how they bred yellow into Saintpaulias. I thought it was more a genetic engineering thing.
I'm not a member of the cult but that is one cool flower.
I like it, too, Mr. S.! And I'm generally not a fan (that's putting it very mildly) of doubled flowers.
