PATSP is a long-winded, intermittently humorous blog which is mostly about houseplants, particularly Anthuriums and Schlumbergeras.
According to my notes, this is the only "long droopy phrag" I took pictures of at the show. Part of this is because I was trying not to take paph and phrag pictures, because when I do it just leaves me depressed that I can't grow them, and part of it is because the photos don't turn out that well for me, a lot of the time.
Though this one actually looks pretty decent, considering.

I killed countless orchids until I started growing them in hydroculture. I suspect Phrags would be a superb candidate for hydroculture.

Living in Cairns, P schroderae grows profusely but refuses to flower. Will be dividing soon and putting one in the fridge for a couple of weeks to see if that works. Congratulations.
Anon is quite correct based on a number of friends I know who do so with their phrags. S/H has never worked for me with any plant, but I may not have kept up with periodically flushing out the pots.
Most phrags are very intolerant of completely drying out.
What a gorgeous orchid! I've never seen one like this before. I know next to nothing about plants, but I do want to have an extensive garden eventually. Loving reading all your posts--very informative! :)
