PATSP is a long-winded, intermittently humorous blog which is mostly about houseplants, particularly Anthuriums and Schlumbergeras.
So the husband and I watched Mommie Dearest on Netflix Thursday night (new Thanksgiving tradition? Maybe!), and I found that this particular scene really speaks to me.
Although I didn't have that name for it until Thursday night, there have been many moments during the Scalepocalypse when I was feeling "Husband! Bring me the ax!"

oh my.
the aucuba japonica is sold in new jersey as a shade tolerant shrub. It can get to over eight feet tall in maturity and about six feet wide. New Jersey is probably about as far north as you'll find it because its borderline zone 7.
