PATSP is a long-winded, intermittently humorous blog which is mostly about houseplants, particularly Anthuriums and Schlumbergeras.

Oh, I don't think I would say that. In this particular flower, the lower sepals makes it look like it is giving a hug. heh
I have seen other flowers of this hybrid in which the lower sepals are a bit more downward oriented ... always brought to mind a floral spaceship. :D
I beg to disagree. Although the leaves are interesting, it's flower is more strangely beautiful in my opinion. It's unique and it is what makes this flower one of my favorites.
