Pretty picture: NOID NOID orchid

I don't know if there wasn't a tag, or if I just missed getting a picture of it. But in any event, I don't know what this is. Looks sort of Phalaenopsisish to me, but the photo's not great, and those are some mighty big roots, for a Phalaenopsis, so I am prepared to believe pretty much any ID anybody wants to offer.

I'm going with a Phalaenopsis, I doubt that it's an intergeneric, but you never know...

To me it looks like Vandopsis parishii var. marriottiana - I think I can see little spots under all the red on the edgeas of petals.

It's Vandopsis parishii var. marriottiana, or Hygrochilus parishhii var. marriottianus, depending on the current mood of the botanists.
I've grown this for years but it rarely flowers as it always seems to produce spikes just before autumn and they always rot, or get eaten or dry out... Leaves and petals have a weird leather/banana peel texture.

It looks to me to be more of a Vanda or Dendrobium type and not Phal. A better look at the foliage would help in the ID.
