Semi-political: Terriost

The husband and I went driving around in, and then north of, Cedar Rapids today, and near a little town called Robins, IA, we saw this:

That's right. It says "terriost." Somehow, the sign's . . . "author" (?) managed to flip the I and O around and lose one R entirely.

Well, you say, maybe the sign was being done in a hurry. People misspell things when they get upset.

That's true. They do. But it was spelled the same way on the other side of the sign. This is how this person thinks it's spelled. Just in case you needed a close-up:

I fail to understand this on so many levels, and it's multiply offensive as well, but the emotion it evokes in me mostly is pity. Which is probably not the intent.

It will be so nice when this election is over.

I hope.

Here, here! This election year has turned into more of a zoo than ever the two past ones. I know the names are similar, but please!?

This guy is out there... here's the interview in The Gazette -

"He's a terrorist," Seedorf said this past week. "He's hanging around with people who bombed and killed Americans." He believes Obama should be tried for treason for saying our soldiers are killing Afghan villagers.

Images of his sign have been out around the internet for a few weeks. A few of the larger internet news sites have picked it up and blogged about it.

I put a picture of the sign up a few weeks ago when I drove by... www.craziesformccain.com

And this is probably how a very large portion of America thinks, and is. Not just about Obama, but a whole host of things. (And just how would a terrorist make it to be one of two hoping to be president anyway? Of course, congress is another thing--those people ARE terrorists.)

And to think, that guy's vote is every bit the equal of mine... And the electoral authorities in HIS state are probably not trying to suppress voting in his red neck of the woods.

Kinda makes ya long for the days when they used to have intelligence tests in the South before they'd let people vote.

Driving through southern Pennsylvania, between Gettysburg and Philadelphia, two weeks ago, the sole Obama-Biden supporter had had their house graffitied with "COMMUNIST" in large orange letters. My husband said the people who wrote that probably weren't even alive during the Cold War and have no idea why it was wrong on so many levels to write that!

The best revenge will be seeing Barack Obama elected as the 44th president of the United States of America.

Wow.

You know, it's times like these that the sole glaring flaw of democracy is exposed.

This guy is one of Palin's foot-in-mouth soldiers.
