Pretty pictures: Hibiscus rosa-sinensis cvv.

Just a few random Hibiscus pictures that, for one reason or another, haven't made it to a post yet.

This very last picture is my own personal plant; previous pictures can be found here (before it was mine) and here (immediately after it was mine). The color actually does vary a little bit; I don't know if it depends on the age of the flower, or the growing conditions. Pretty hot stuff either way.

Hibiscus flowers can vary dramatically in color depending on growing conditions, particularly temperature. That's a beauty!

I've never seen this color, on the last picture. Pretty!

I'm so jealous! I love your hibiscus but just can not grow them here in the hot dry desert! I've tried so many times without success. I assume yours is in a pot and you will bring it in the house in the winter?

Your hibiscus is gorgeous. Are you growing it indoors?

Point of clarification: I'm currently growing only the orange and pink one in this post, and the solid orange one from this post. The others are pictures I took at work and then never managed to fit into a post.

Both of them are in pots outdoors at the moment, and the plan is to try to overwinter them indoors during the winter. I'm not sure how optimistic to be about that: the ones at work almost always came inside with bugs (aphids, spider mites, whitefly, something) and were big headaches for months until we got that under control. So far, these don't appear to have anything on them, but the ones at work never looked buggy until they came in, either. So we will see how it goes. I'm fairly sure it's not impossible, but it might end up being more trouble than it's worth.
