Saturday morning Sheba and/or Nina picture

Aside from Sheba not vomiting on last Saturday's trip to Iowa City, and a new cricket delivery for Nina, not a lot has happened here in the last week, as far as the pets are concerned. Sheba not vomiting is, of course, wonderful news, and the gaps between pukes seem to be getting longer, so we're pleased about that.

Nina's cricket delivery is directly relevant only to Nina, who was more or less kicked out of her sleeping Vriesea because the crickets are currently sleeping in all of the spots. I expect that some vacancies will appear in the next couple weeks, though. They always do.

How many crickets does Nina eat per day? Is there a specific type of cricket that she eats? I'm curious to hear more about Nina's life.

I suppose you didn't get her a bigger terrarium with your tax refund, did you? If so, I missed that post.

I'm really not sure, actually, since I haven't seen it happen in months. We buy the equivalent of one tiny cricket per day, or one medium one every other day, but both our buying and her eating vary from week to week.

I didn't wind up getting a bigger terrarium, no. A fair chunk of the money went to Fervor/Sheba supplies, another chunk is being held in reserve for Sheba's trip to the vet in September, and a lot of the money just slowly evaporated as I bought plant stuff. It's still not impossible that I could buy her a larger place, if I found a used 20-gallon aquarium cheap somewhere or something, but we've pretty much ruled out anything huge and brand-new, by this point.

Either way, I need to do something about the Stromanthe soon. It just . . . it just seems so happy in there, though.
