Go Grandma!!!! Things will change....and very slowly, but they are still happening. When human beings realize what the real meaning of acceptance is; there will be world peace.
Wow, great video. Westboro Baptist Church protested a block from my house yesterday; even in South Carolina, they were far outnumbered by counter-protesters.
If only people without gay parents and without gay sons were speaking out in support of equal rights... Love that this lady came around for her son and that he was able to be open to her so long ago. It says a lot about them. My hopes are there for Iowa to yield to human dignity and not give in to the evil forces out there who want to scapegoat and demonize their gay fellow citizens.
She looks good for 80 years-old. That's amazing her parents were born in the 1890's
We could use some of that Midwestern common sense here in Wisconsin. Have you heard about our governor? He is playing military dictator and it is surreal. It is so strange.

Please note: I am a person, not a houseplant-care-advice vending machine. If you've asked a plant-care question and I responded, that took time and effort that I could have spent on something else, and it's nice if you acknowledge that with a "thank you."
Also: no, I will not help you draw attention to your Kickstarter. No, I do not need the services of a blog-ads optimizer. No, I'm not interested in promoting/reviewing/giving away your products. Fuck, no, I will not write for free for your blog. I know these things are important to you, and you feel that your case is so special that I would obviously make an exception to the rule if you asked me because of how special your thing is, but I assure you: it is not special, and I will not make an exception. (This means you, Mother Earth Living.)

Mr_Subjunctive used to work at a family-owned greenhouse / garden center in Iowa City, IA. As of 16 December 2021, he has 1234 houseplants, which is too damn many. Most are Schlumbergeras.

Great post for Valentine's Day :)
That is a very lovely speech. You gotta love grandmas that are filled with so much wisdom.
