Pretty picture: Dendrobium cucullatum

This was tagged as Dendrobium pierardii, and we've seen it as D. pierardii in 2013, but it's an orchid so of course the name's changed.

Don't really have anything new to say about it; I found it less appealing in 2016 than in 2013 but that probably says more about me than about the plant. If you find it interesting, the 2013 post is still relevant (except for the name).

I tried emailing you but it came back undeliverable. I just enjoyed your blog post from 2007 about the Mother of Thousands. I'm not sure but I suspect I have bred a new variant of this plant. I've been looking for someone to help me determine if I do indeed have a new thing on my hands. It's an interesting story how the plant came about. Perhaps you'd be interested?

Did you follow the e-mail instructions?

I'd be interested in seeing the plant, but not in owning one.[1]

[1] It's not personal; my pest problems have progressed to the point where I'm seriously thinking maybe I should just throw all of the plants out and start over from scratch. Obviously bringing in new plants before I've done that would be counterproductive.
Don't know that I'm necessarily going to do this anyway, but the overall feeling is that I should be moving toward fewer plants, not more plants. Is the point.
