I found the image a long time ago and don't remember exactly where it was; some old-book archive of public domain images.

The caption is of course mine.

I also considered "Oh, Mr. Subjunctive, just go say hello. Amy Stewart's not really your nemesis."

and

"What Gordon didn't know was that one of the garden center zombies was standing right behind him."

But in the end I decided that nothing beats a good Naked Wednesday joke.

My friends who knew I had wanted a greenhouse often suggested I should hire attractive young strong boys to work in it, and of course have them work naked.

I pointed out various legal issues with that idea. But it was a fun thought.

Flesh-toned speedos. That's all I gotta say.

I was speaking about Amy Stewart last night with a food blogger at a happy hour. I was saying stuff about "oh I love poisonous plants, yummy" and she was like "I saw this lady on TV!"

It was wicked. Just like Amy's book.
