Saturday morning Nina picture

Shots like this make me appreciate the wisdom of Daffodil Planter's comment from Halloween: Nina is cute because she's so much SMALLER than we are. Imagine if she were eyeing you this way -- and the size of a smallish motorcycle.

Suddenly way less adorable, right?

Ha!!! She'd still be adorable... as long as there was only one of her. Otherwise, Velociraptor city!!!

Ah!! Godzilla ..LOL
A Cycle sized nina would automatically seem a threat.
I think I like her as she is. If those plants were cycle sized though.. think of all the uses....

I don't know about all that, as more of a reptile than plant person I would say that sagrei would be cute up to at least car size.

I don't know. I think the size of a medium-sized dog might be pretty cool. (Wonder if you'd have to walk her each day)

Anyhow, she's really cute the way she is. Makes me want to kiss her little head.

Imagine if she wore goggles and a helmet and drove a motor-cycle.

Lol, she'd go from cute to cool!

And fought crime! With the assistance of her two sidekicks, one a deeply religious gay gentleman spy who must take medication to keep him sane, and the other a disco-crazy thirty-something museum curator living homeless in New York's sewers!

I bet this is how hit TV shows get made.

What a lot of you seem to be conveniently ignoring is that motorcycle-sized Nina would need to eat something. The crickets she currently eats are already bigger than her head: motorNina, if she existed, would likely feed on toddlers and golden retrievers.

Komodo dragons are adorable too.

mr_subjunctive said...

They are?

Oh. Then I stand corrected. Never mind.

'Spect Nina eats her crickets quick and is kinder to her prey than Kimodo Dragons - who bite their victims with such disgustingly dirty teeth they are able to leave them to die a slow and festering death and come back to eat them later. Lazy as well as unpleasant.

I'm sure the Komodo dragons prefer to look at it as a matter of efficiency, rather than laziness.

I never thought about that Mr. S (Nina having to eat something). In that case, I guess she'd want to eat Bailey instead of Bailey wanting to eat her...

She's sure channeling the ancestors in this photo!

So I keep scaling her back - - - Size of a wheelbarrow? Size of a breadbox? Let's face it, I don't really want anything carnivorous giving me the assessing eye, even if all it could do was nibble me to death after some disgusting disablement a la Komodo Dragon. It doesn't help to know that she can probably run a lot faster than I can already. Cute, though.

Excuse me, could we please select a breed for Nina's repasts other than golden retrievers?! How about flabby, overweight Labs, sausage dogs (aka dachshunds), pugs, and etc. Just asking.

Well, I suppose papillons or chihuahuas would probably be easier to swallow, if not easier to catch.

Also --

You're bothered by golden retrievers, but toddlers are okay?

Sheesh, you don't miss much, do you?
