Pretty picture: Coreopsis 'Jethro Tull'

Can't say I know much about these, or even that I've spent a lot of time with them, but they seem friendly enough. The rolled-up petals are weird.

There's a gaillardia with rolled up petals too, I think it's called Fanfare (too lazy to check). I don't think I go for the rolled-up petals look on either one. It's bizarre.

And WHY Jethro Tull anyway?! Inquiring minds want to know!

Sheila asks "Why Jethro Tull anyway?"

Because the petals are fluted. (Lead singer Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull is known for playing the flute. Not a usual instrument for a rock musician.)
